Job Description:

Roles – Responsibilities:

1. Client Consultation: Engaging with clients to understand their AV requirements, goals, and constraints. This involves active listening and asking probing questions to gather detailed information about their needs.

2. Solution Design: Using technical expertise to design AV solutions that align with client requirements and budget constraints. This may involve selecting appropriate audiovisual equipment, software and integration methods.

3. Proposal Preparation: Collaborating with the sales team to create detailed proposals that outline the recommended AV solutions. This includes providing technical documentation, diagrams, and cost estimates. Moreover, participate in Pre – Bid Meetings and assist Overall Sales Domain.

4. Technical Presentations: Conducting presentations to clients to explain the proposed AV solutions, addressing any technical questions or concerns they may have, and showcasing the benefits of the proposed solutions.

5. Site Surveys: Conducting site surveys to assess the physical space and environment where the AV systems will be installed. This helps identify any potential challenges or requirements for installation.

7. Technical Expertise: Serving as a technical expert during the sales process, providing guidance and answering questions related to AV technology, integration, and implementation. Specification drafting, schedules and Sizing calculations for AV related opportunities.

8. Collaboration: Working closely with internal teams such as sales, project management, engineering, and installation teams to ensure smooth handover of projects from pre-sales to post-sales phases. Also, engaging with different OEM’s and Vendor.

9. Product Knowledge: Staying up-to-date with the latest AV technologies, products, and industry trends. This includes attending training sessions, conferences, and workshops to enhance product knowledge and expertise.

10. Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional service, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction with the proposed AV solutions.

11. Feedback Loop: Providing feedback to the product development and engineering teams based on client requirements and market trends to continually improve products and services.

Overall, an AV Pre Sales Engineer plays a crucial role in the sales process by leveraging technical expertise to design tailored AV solutions that meet client needs and contribute to business growth.

 

Requirements:

*   Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Electronics & Communication / Electrical Engineering /Audiovisual Technology or a related field.

*   Proven experience in AV pre-sales support and design engineering.

*   Proficient in using AV design software and tools like Auto Cad, Visio etc.

*   Strong understanding of audiovisual technologies, signal flow, and integration.

*   Excellent communication and presentation skills.

*   Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred Skills:

*   Industry certifications such as CTS, CTS-D (Infocom Certified Technology Specialist - Design) are a plus.

*   Familiarity with control systems (QSC, Crestron, AMX, Biamp) and video conferencing solutions (MTR and Zoom Rooms – Logitech, Poly, QSC, NEAT, Cisco etc.)

*   Project management skills for coordinating AV installations.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and configuring audio-visual control systems to ensure seamless and efficient operation. The Audio-Visual Programmer will work closely with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders to implement custom solutions that meet the unique requirements of each project.

Roles and responsibilities:

Control System Programming:

  • Develop and implement control system programming for audio-visual solutions, including but not limited to touch panel interfaces, control processors, and automation systems.
  • Collaborate with the design team to understand project requirements and translate them into functional and user-friendly control interfaces.

Integration of AV Systems:

  • Program and configure audio-visual systems, ensuring proper integration of various components such as DSP’s, Microphones, Video switchers, Cameras, Lighting and Control processors.
  • Troubleshoot and debug programming issues during system integration and testing phases.

Customization and Optimization:

  • Customize control system programming based on client preferences and specific project requirements.
  • Optimize programming to enhance system performance, responsiveness, and user experience.

Collaboration with Project Teams

  • Work closely with project Engineers, audio-visual Technicians, and other stakeholders to understand project goals and timelines.
  • Provide technical expertise during project planning and execution phases.

Documentation:

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of control system programming, including code, system configurations, and user manuals.
  • Provide training to end-users and support staff on system functionality and troubleshooting procedures.

Stay Updated on Technology Trends:

  • Stay informed about the latest developments in audio-visual technology and programming languages.
  • Make recommendations for adopting new technologies that can enhance the functionality and performance of AV systems.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication /IT / CS or related to AV field.
  • Proven experience in audio-visual programming and system integration.
  • Proficiency in drafting program source code and Touch Panel Interface of QSC, Crestron, AMX, Extron, Kramer or similar.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Q-SYS Designer or Crestron Simpl+ and Simpl# Pro, AMX NetLinx, Extron Global Scripter or BSS HiQnet.
  • Extensive knowledge of RS232/422/485 and IP-based control protocol products.
  • Strong understanding of audio-visual equipment, signal flow, and control protocols.
  • In-depth knowledge of VC Integration, MTR and Zoom Room.
